Annabel trained as a general nurse in Manchester and qualified with both her general nursing and district nursing qualification. On moving to London she took up her first post in elderly care at St Marys in Paddington and then went on to be the District Nursing sister in Harlesden in Brent. After 2 years of working in Yemen Annabel returned to the UK and trained as a Health Visitor at South Bank University and then worked amongst the Arab population in central London.

Annabel went on to gain her master’s in social anthropology of children and child development at Brunel university.

Annabel now works as the Director of Nursing and therapies for Central London Community Healthcare NHS trust covering their inner north west division. She is a Queens Nurse and has recently completed the QICN’s leading strategically course

Annabel is the Menopause Ambassador for CLCH which includes promoting awareness, providing support and helping CLCH to foster an inclusive workplace for those experiencing menopause and perimenopause.

Having supported her sister and friends understand the she is passionate to ensure that the workforce in CLCH are able to also be supported to manage their perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

My name is Laura. I am excited to be joining the Wellbeing Menopause Nurse Team, where I will be working closely with three other nurses to bring menopause knowledge and support to staff across CLCH Trust.

I join the team with over 25 years’ experience as a nurse, before taking on my role as Practice Development Nurse at CLCH, I worked in General Practice, Reproductive and Sexual Health, and most recently with a start-up menopause company as a menopause nurse, supporting women through all stages of their menopause journey.

I am enthusiastic about women’s health, equality, and empowering women to stay well and remain in work for as long as they choose. I strongly believe that good menopause support plays a vital role in helping women thrive, enabling them to make choices to improve their wellbeing. Good menopause support also promotes workplace equality and in turn can help women achieve greater financial security later in life.

Outside of work I am a mum to two children, a cat and a labrador. Luckily, I love walking—especially when I can rope a friend into joining me—and I enjoy staying active. This year my personal goals are to get stronger and cycle more. I would love to be able to cycle from London to Paris again one day. 

I am really excited about the opportunity to support and educate staff across CLCH, helping to raise awareness, build confidence, and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

My name is Katie Baichoo. I have a background in general practice nursing, female health, sexual health and contraception, subsequently joining CLCH 8 years ago as a community nurse. I am now triage team lead for Hertfordshire division. I am a Professional Nurse Advocate, a coach, and a Cmember of the Women’s Network. I have had a special interest in menopause and women’s health for over 10 years, with more directed focus within my own community post-COVID, supporting women and workforces alike, and have written a number of articles on the subject. The Menopause Wellbeing Service is an exciting service, and I am delighted to have been part of this wonderful service since its infancy and look forward to supporting employees within the trust to understand and manage menopause compassionately.

Outside of my nursing role, I am a midlife coach, mum to 2 girls - 20 and 25 years old - and have just had my first fiction book published.

Ella Lucia Ricci is the Head of Health, Wellbeing and Engagement at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, where she leads strategic work to improve colleague wellbeing, engagement, and organisational culture. She is passionate about fostering inclusive environments where people feel connected, valued, and empowered to succeed, and is a strong advocate for staff voice and belonging across the NHS.
